Usually, when we lose weight, we think of how we will look better in our favorite pair of pants.  We don’t often think of our pants as a means to lose weight.  There are pants on the market that help us to reach our weight loss goals.  There are several types and brands of weight loss pants.

On Amazon.com, you can find Neoprene Workout Pants for $52.95 to help you get more out of your workout.  Neoprene is a synthetic rubber that traps your body heat which causes your body to sweat while trying to cool off.  If you wear neoprene pants while working out, you’ll probably find you have lost several pounds right after your workout from water weight loss.

As if you needed yet another reason to work that body out as often as you possibly can, there is another huge incentive to get your exercising on a daily basis, or at least exercising as much as your lifestyle will let you fit in.

Exercising, it has been found, on a regular basis, actually lowers our cravings for the two types of foods that are most responsible for obesity and weight gain in this country. Sugar and fat.

One thing that I’ll admit I don’t work out often enough, is my back muscles. I don’t do it as often as I should because quite frankly, I don’t think about my lower back needing to “look good” so I often forget and instead do things that are really major problems for me, like my outer and inner thighs and upper arms.

Hey, a woman’s got priorities, and while I love to feel great and be healthy, I’m also very cognizant that the primary reason I started working out was because I wanted to shape and whittle my body into something that appeared sexy and desirable.

When you’re trying to lose weight, it is really imperative that you follow some simple rules with your workout regimen to develop the most effective fitness plan for weight loss. The first one is very simple, and hopefully very common sense for most people. That is, make sure you get in a ton of cardio, and go easy on the weight training until you start to lose the weight.

Remember the song “Baby Got Back” by Sirmixalot?  Sure, it was a one hit wonder, but it’s one that still would be a hit today, because it’s catchy and it’s good.  I remember that song striking a particular cord with me, because I’ve never, ever had a small butt. Even when I was at my thinnest in high school and wore a tiny size, I still had a lot of “curves”.

I was reminded about how important it is to use a really good pair of running shoes recently.  My husband and I wanted to take a jog around the neighborhood the other night. It was a beautiful day. Not too hot, one of those perfect spring days where the humidity here hasn’t quite picked up yet, so even when it gets warm, it’s still very breezy and very comfortable.

I have to say, I’m impressed with a recent PSA that I heard from Kaiser Permanente, one of the largest HMO/PMO health providers today.  I had heard some good things about them, well as good as you can about organized health providers, and I heard a PSA (public service announcement) on the radio the other day that really made me warm up to them.

My husband and I decided to shake things up today in our fitness routine, and instead of doing something inside, we wanted to go hiking on a new trail that we found by our house. It’s a little part that we always thought was little more than a soccer and football field for the local kids games.

Boy, were we wrong! We got there and started our hike, and found that the trails were graded very steeply in many places, and it was really cool because some spots were so high that they gave you a birds eye view of the deep ravines and gullys that made the woods and the scaping so gorgeous. It was a scenic treat as well as a physical workout that we really enjoyed.

I know, I know. Some people may be rolling their eyes over this, and believe me, I may have been one of them before I started dating a guy (now my husband) who knew a lot about pro wrestline and how hard the business really is.  When I was raised, my parents pretty much scoffed at pro wrestling, when Hulk Hogan was all the rage, and Macho Man Randy Savage was too (may he rest in peace).

If you asked me this question, I’d say it’s of vital importance. Some people may disagree, or may think that less of it is required than I do.  That is because for me, I’ve found that warming up and cooling down before and after my exercise sessions helps me immensely when it comes to avoiding injuries and discomfort from the exercises that I do during those sessions.

Warming up is even more important than cooling down for me, becuase I find that I don’t feel strains in my muscles or uncomfortable pulls when I’m working out if I do an adequate stretching session.  Adequate to me is about 3-5 minutes, although some people may do more than that.
