<p dir="ltr">My husband recently was trying to lose weight, but he also wanted to simultaneously build lean muscle, and keep the muscle that he had. He has long been a fan of the muscle preserving and building supplement <strong><a href="http://www.enutriments.com/sports-nutrition/creatine">creatine</a></strong>.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Creatine has been around for a while, and is a staple of many body-conscious weight lifters and people who just want to get lean and muscular quickly.  It used to be that you had to drink creatine with grape juice, but there are many kinds now that you do not need to do this with.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Creatine comes in powder form, and for those that like to take pills better, it also comes in a pill form now. Depending on what you like, or what you feel is more effective, you do have options as to how to take this supplement.</p>
<p dir="ltr">My husband said he always noticed better muscle gains faster when he supplemented his diet with creatine and started a regular weight lifting regimen. I never did try it because I was always happy with my results from doing cardio and my light weight lifting. Plus I confess, I&#8217;m a woman, and I was a little scared I&#8217;d start looking a bit too buff for my personal taste!</p>
<p dir="ltr">My husband also made it a point to do his cardio after his weight training, or alternate his weight training days with his cardio days. Which is odd, because I know most women do their cardio first, then their weight lifting. Men and women metabolize a bit differently though, and they do need to do their workouts a little differently.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Also, my husband informed me a while ago that men do body parts at a time, as opposed to the whole body at one time like most women do, and get results from. This works well when they are trying to concentrate on building individual parts, such as their biceps, triceps and quads, for example.</p>
<p dir="ltr">He would take either his creatine or his protein drink of choice after his workout, and he did get more lean muscle mass by doing this.</p>

		<title>Getting Muscles Massaged Hurts After Workout!</title>

I schedule them once a month for my neck and my back problems, all of which stem from injuries I got in two car accidents when I was younger from whiplash.  I&#8217;m sure I had some sort of pre existing condition too, it&#8217;s just that the two car accidents that occurred within five years of eachother aggravated the situation.</p>
<p>So, these monthly massages really help to loosen my neck and back up. They also help me to sit all day comfortably at my desk job. I work 4 ten hour days (they actually end up being closer to eleven hour days) per week at a desk. Sitting all day can really wreck havoc on your muscles in your back and neck. You get stiff, no matter how much you try to get up and stretch.</p>
<p>Sitting all day like that just isn&#8217;t natural, and I&#8217;d love to quit the job some day for something more active, but right now with the economy the way it is, I&#8217;m lucky and blessed just to have a good job with good benefits, so I&#8217;m never going to look a gift horse in the mouth on that one.</p>
<p>Well, I found that after you work your muscles hard, a massage can really hurt. I think it must be because you have ripped and torn little contusions into your muscles (this is what happens when you work out really hard), and then when you get the massage, they are essentially working that new scar tissue out, which is painful. She took both of my biceps and really dug in because I mentioned they were a little sore.</p>
<p>MAN did it hurt, and I&#8217;m no baby when it comes to deep tissue massage. In fact, I love deep tissue massage, usually the deeper the better for me!  But this was just painful. I also wondered if it might not be &#8220;undoing&#8221; my muscle building, but dismissed that idea as hogwash of my imagination essentially.</p>

I mean, usually we&#8217;re both very aware of our exercise regimens, but we do tend to fall off the radar a bit with the consistency aspect.  </p>
<p>I wanted to talk to you today about a supplement that my husband just started taking again recently that&#8217;s been around for a long time, creatine.  Creatine has been around since I can remember. It certainly was around when I was in high school, which is a lot longer ago than I care to admit!</p>
<p>The one difference, according to my husband, these days with creatine is that it no longer is a powder that you have to take with grape juice. I have no idea why you used to have to take it with grape juice and I won&#8217;t venture a guess right now.  </p>
<p>The formula has evolved over the years, and this protein for muscle repair and muscle building has definitely taken a turn for the better. He takes two pills a day, and that&#8217;s it. He says that it really helps his muscles to mend themselves and prepare again for a workout.</p>
<p>Why would this matter, I wondered, when you should really be sore after a good workout at the gym anyways, isn&#8217;t that what working out is all about after all? Well, yes and no.  Here&#8217;s the good thing about these types of <a href="http://www.fitnessnewsmagazine.com/body-building-muscle-supplement/">body building muscle supplements</a> that allow your muscles to recover faster, such as creatine (there are many others that are excellent quality too).</p>
<p>Especially with men, they are usually working out to get somewhat bulky and hard. So, it benefits them to recover their muscles more quickly, because it allows them to work out more often and more intensely without the same muscle fatigue and extreme soreness they might otherwise experience.  </p>
<p>This allows for faster, more consistent muscle building, and lets a guy get a harder, leaner, and more muscle bound physique a lot faster. It&#8217;s really helping my husband with his muscle building endeavors, he says that he can work out a lot longer without experiencing that same fatigue he used to get.  I&#8217;d say that&#8217;s worth it!  </p>
