Unfortunately, the great tasting whey protein powder that so many people use when they are trying to build lean muscle by supplementing it with extra pure, lean protein, has an uncomfortable and often embarrassing side effect. That side effect is constipation.

You may be able to offset this side effect if you are just adding a few scoops of whey protein powder to a pure fresh fruit smoothie, since the fiber in the fruit may offset the constipation causing ingredients.

However, if you are just drinking a shake made with whey protein powder and milk or water, then you very well may be one of those sensitive individuals that has problems with passing waste once you’ve digested this constipating protein.

A good alternative is to find a simple supplement for building lean muscle that does not involve making a protein shake like whey does. Nitric oxide is a great supplement that is in pill form that is non constipating and helps your muscle to recover by supplying them with the additional strength and recovery in between workouts.

There are other types of protein powders that are not as constipating. There is soy protein powder, and other vegan based powders that do not include any diary products or animal byproducts, and those do not seem to have the constipating effect.

Also, you can always just increase your protein intake by eating egg whites, which are an excellent source of lean, fat free and low calorie protein (I think there is a whole 12 calories or something in an entire egg white, which is awesome calorie density for such a high protein food item).

A diet drug that has been on the market in Europe and was being studied for it’s potential heart and cardiovascular benefits as well as it’s cholesterol lowering capabilities, has been yanked because of fears it may be causing higher suicide rates in the groups that are using the drugs versus the placebo groups.

You see, when they study drugs, supplements, or really anything else that may impact human health or behavior, they put people in controlled groups of users and placebo groups who just think they are using a drug but really are not.

This gives them results that they can go on because the people that really are on the drug actually will report their feelings and their results honestly, with no bias, so they can gauge whether something works, and so will the placebo group.

The drug we are talking about is rimonabant, which was sold for a while in Europe under the name Acomplia, and was hailed for it’s results in accomplishing weight loss as well as reduced cholesterol levels and blood glucose levels in it’s patients. I swear I remember seeing an ad for this drug on US television, so I’m scratching my head that I’m reading it was only available in Europe.

I think it’s amazing that we can’t come up with a good weight loss drug that helps people with their cardio health as well through the simple fact that it takes weight off, one of the biggest factors in cardio health, that does not have really serious or life threatening side effects.

After all, we live in one of the most technologically and pharmaceutically advanced ages, and we can’t even come up with safe weight loss drugs? I know that everyone should just do it the old fashioned way by exercising and eating right and sheer willpower.

However, the sad fact is that our metabolisms are all screwed up from their natural points. We’ve been poisoned by years of processed foods, jumbo portions and frankenfood, and that really takes a toll not only on the metabolism, but also the chemicals that are sparked in our brains that cause cravings and cause us to eat diets that we naturally prefer, which is junk.

I know there are a few good natural supplements that I’ve found that are harmless that help reduce appetite, but it would be nice to have more serious options available for those who are truly in life threatening situations where they have to lose weight “or else”.

What are the effects of a Human Growth Hormone (HGH) deficiency in, and how can it make you more fit and energetic and help to increase health and ward off aging?

There are reports suggesting that age-related problems can be helped by supplemental doses of human growth hormone (HGH). Our body naturally produces HGH when we are young, but its production declines as we age. Amazingly though, the consequences of the age-related deficiency in HGH are said to be reversed by supplemental doses of HGH.
Peak levels of HGH are observed during the growth phase of life.

After longitudinal growth stop, production of HGH starts to drop and as one age, levels of HGH falls dramatically. Older adults may eventually become fully deficient of HGH. Since HGH has been involved in speeding up repair of cells and tissues as well as in optimization of the body function and composition, changes in the body function and composition becomes apparent.

Age-related deficiency of HGH is associated with increased body weight, insulin resistance, muscle wasting, dry skin, neurological impairment, low sex drive and lack of energy. A myriad of degenerative disease also occur during the adult phase of life including cancers, heart diseases and osteoporosis.  Presently however, people in their eighties and nineties who are still looking healthy and vibrant is quite normal. These people may have embarked on HGH therapy where they could enjoy wide range of benefits.

Benefits of HGH Replacement Therapy

HGH supports the production of other hormones hence the decline in HGH production during adulthood affects the production of other hormones. Aging reduces the levels of melatonin, steroids and many other hormones. But when HGH-deficient adults were given HGH supplements, they are said to have gained energy, have increased muscle strength and mass and improved mental abilities and psychological attitude.

Supplemental HGH increases the levels of HGH hence it also stimulates production of other hormones. The positive effects of HGH supplements are to be attributed to its stimulation of HGH to produce estrogen which protects from bone loss, testosterone which helps in building muscles and DHEA and pregnenalone which elevates mood.

The list of benefits from HGH grows by the day. Aside from the commonly known benefits of HGH, many other benefits from HGH supplements were reported. These include revitalization of the liver and brain functions, increased exercise capacity, increased volume of thymus gland, enhanced function of the immune system, increased kidney blood flow and efficiency, improved body heat function, reduced risk fro cardiovascular diseases and general enhancement of ones sense of well-being.

How Do HGH Supplements Work?

Supplements work by increasing the levels of HGH in the body either by directly adding more HGH through injections or stimulating the pituitary gland to produce natural HGH. Injections of this hormone are very expensive and not everyone can have access to them. HGH injections may also alter the function of the pituitary gland since it would be loading the body with synthetic HGH.

In contrast, HGH supplements do not add any synthetic form of HGH in the body. These supplements are a “releaser” which works by stimulating natural production of HGH. Since HGH supplants work well with the body, it has no side effects. Being more affordable, the supplement form could be a better way to prevent or at least delay the onset of aging.

Everyone wants to get ripped but very few know how to get there and even fewer have actually done it by themselves. Getting ripped is one of the best things you can do for your self-confidence. You will have more energy and the way you carry yourself will show people you feel good about who you are. If you want to get ripped you should make a good plan.

Regular workouts along with proper nutrition and taking the proper supplements are the key for ideal body shape. Make the best investment in yourself and achieve your aims.
Weight training forms a major part of the entire process of gaining shape. It is of high importance for getting muscle forms. The body includes energy centers in the form of cells known as ‘mitochondria’.

By weight training we can boost the number of mitochondria, which in turn increases the amount of oxygen that is used by the body. We should bear on mind that ‘we are what we eat’. What is very important is to stick to the strict diet. We should follow simple rules like restricting the calorie intake and increasing the protein intake. Proper nutrition would also consist of reducing sugar, salt and carbohydrate intake along with regular water consuming. Also eating smaller portions helps more often.

Nutrition holds the key to the effectiveness of our weight training. Supplements like nitric oxide are the very essence to getting ripped. We should choose a supplement that fits best for our needs. There are different supplements, some offer pure energy and others are specific to muscle generation. Supplements generally include ingredients such as ma huang, caffeine or ephedra and others.

These ingredients work by stimulating the body’s metabolism and by burning excess calories. Taken before the trainings they will increase our energy, fasten the metabolic processes and will help us to get better results in a shorter time period. There are many natural supplements which will solve our problems without any risk to our health.

We always have to remember the fact that we are not born equal. Each of us has different physical abilities and genetics. Therefore in our interests is to be patient and work at our own set pace in order to achieve our realistic aims. The whole process of getting ripped requires lots of hard work and focus. The only thing we should do is always keep to the plan: regular workouts, natural supplements and proper diet.

There has been a long running debate about whether or not human growth hormone, the real thing, which is injected into your blood stream, and has been banned in professional sports, actually helps athletes boost their performance and gives them an unfair advantage over the competition.  Well, apparently new studies are showing that it’ snot all just a bunch of hot air. HGH really does boost athlete’s performance, especially if that athlete is in a sport that has to do with mere seconds at the end, like sprinting or something like that.

Biking may be another one where seconds count. It can give you that last bit of energy and endurance that you need to get your through, and yes, that does cause an unfair advantage, and I would agree that it should be banned in sports. But where do you draw the line then? Are you not going to allow things like protein powder supplements or body building supplements that contain things like creatine  or nitric oxide because they give someone an “unfair advantage”?

I for one use plenty of supplements that help to enhance my health, my physique and my overall well being, and what if I was told that I couldn’t use those because they enhance my overall health too much and give me an unfair advantage over the competition?  I think it is difficult to say where to draw the line, but obviously there has to be one or every sports star would be doping to unfairly give them the edge over their opponents.  And where’s the real sport in that? It should all come down to blood, sweat and tears, not popping pills, right?

Scientists who made the finding injected one group with salt water and another with actual Human Growth Hormone, and found that the group that had the human growth hormone actually exhibited improvement in their athletic endurance, but not really a difference in their strength.  This was enough to confirm that HGH is definitely something that gives unfair advantage, and therefore should remain on the banned list of supplements in sports.

The problem with HGH use in sports is that it is very hard to detect as it usually does not show in urine tests.  Recent sports stars who have admitted to using it are Mark McGwire, who previously denied up and down that he used any performance enhancing products during his reign as the heavy hitter in baseball, and a record holder for home runs.

We are going to continue our discussion on some of the most popular supplements and how to choose them when you are looking to build solid muscle and cut down on your body fat with your workouts.  Weight workouts can only give you so much on their own, so athletes, actors, body builders, and average Joes often look to supplement their diets with powders, foods or even snack bars to help their bodies pump up to the next level.

Basically, their goals can be achieved if people consume more and more supplements gradually increasing each month. For example, they can consume proteins that make muscles grow, give energy to the body and are absorbed very quickly and easily. It is very important to know that the protein is made of amino acids which are the basic building blocks of every muscle.

Other body building supplements, also very safe and effective for anybody, after the protein, is creatine which surely can have great effect on your body and muscles especially if it was never used before. Also, it increases the main energy source which muscles use for power.

Namely, this group of most used supplements includes the glutamine, one of the most abundant amino acids found in muscle tissue. Its power is used to prevent muscle wasting and improves recovery. Also the multi vitamins are one of the most common supplements which people use everyday. A good multivitamin is a must for the best gains in muscle mass and for a good health.

A common belief behind those muscle pumping supplements is that if you use them frequently you will be more attractive and convincing when approaching the opposite sex. The easiest way to identify the best supplement is to check out for the manufacturer.

Finally, remember that supplements should be used as an addition to a healthy diet and a balanced life.  It does not mean that all these available bodybuilding supplements must be used and preferred if you do not feel their necessity. The best thing you can do is to add supplement slowly in your diet, and gradually increase the dose. We don’t have to mention that before start you should consult your doctor for all the professional info.

The body building seems so basic and simple but it is very important. People who want to have well built body use different kinds of supplements which can help raising their testosterone, helps them gain muscle, enhance their mood as well as maintain a healthy libido.

Body building upplements are not required to meet the safety levels and a prescription standards and no requirement is needed to prove the effectiveness of the body building supplements.

Nowadays, these muscle building supplements are very often used by people – especially men, who want to leave an impression with their appearance.  Hollywood movie stars have used them to bulk up for roles where they have to look like real badasses, and normal guys like you and me like to use them to add more muscle building power to our naturally God given abilities to bulk up.

It is supposed that they do these kinds of things because, apparently, they are convinced that they look better using supplements that improve their bodies quicker and without too much effort. In my opinion, those people have a lack of self-confidence.

There are so many supplements available that it’s really hard to pick one that fits both into your daily routine as far as what you eat, and also work synergistically with your body to give you the best results possible. People often ask themselves which one should they use, which one suit their body best, which one tastes best and gives me the least amount of side effects (for instance, some whey based ones may constipate some people at first, so on and so forth)…

First off, supplements are simply tools to increase your muscle building potential. In addition, there are different supplements that can help people achieve their goals. I will list now the top supplement types which people use to produce the best results:

Protein, Creatine, Nitric Oxide body building supplements, Glutamine, Amino-Acids, Grow Hormone, Multi-Vitamins etc.

More to come on this two part discussion on muscle and body building supplements and how you can use them to get your body to the next ripped level of musculature.

No, we are not talking about the word “no”, but about NO supplements, which is just an acronym for nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a substance that is supposed to help the body pump more iron, build more muscle, transport more oxygen to the critical muscle masses that are doing the heavy lifting, and therefore, to help the body lift more weight, for a longer duration.  It is supposed to help with endurance, and also with the capacity to carry oxygen to the muscles for less recovery time after you do a really strenuous muscle busting workout.

We’ve dedicated a new page to talking about such supplements here, so enjoy!
