</script></div><p>There are many different levels of commitment to reach potential fitness goals.  You can buy or rent DVD&#8217;s and do a 30 minute or more workout at home whenever you can find the spare time.  Other people may join a gym or health club and sign up for various fitness classes.</p>
<p>For the really motivated individuals, there are exercise classes called boot-camp workout sessions.  Depending on your motivation and personal fitness goals, this venue for exercise may be for you.  Some people find this is the best route to become toned and strong if they have an upcoming event in a few months, such as a reunion or wedding.</p>
<p>Often, people want to look their very best and fittest to reunite with people they haven&#8217;t seen in a long time.  The boot-camp workouts usually offer a choice for the time of day that works best for your busy schedule.  Ideally, a boot-camp class should offer a combination of cardio and calisthenics.</p>
<p>Instead of promising quick weight loss results, boot-camp classes should focus on improved overall health.  Boot-camp classes should ideally be run by certified instructors.  Many boot-camp classes meet about twice a week and consist of one hour long &#8220;drills&#8221;.</p>
<p>The name, boot-camp classes, may scare some people off.  But the fact is that your usual boot-camp classes do cater to all levels of fitness coming in.  This style of workout has actually gone mainstream.  Boot-camp style workouts often go for approximately six week sessions.</p>
<p>If you are late or miss a workout session, your instructor will usually call you on it.  This often works to keep motivation strong and enhances a degree of commitment.  The majority of people who sign up for boot-camp workouts are women.  Women tend to like the group training more and the comraderie with others while attaining a fitness goal.</p>
<p>A good boot-camp workout series of classes keeps it interesting and keeps the class flowing.  A full body workout should be offered in a quality boot-camp workout session.  You want to see a combination of aerobics such as running or jumping jacks with interval training such as lunges.</p>
<p>To see if boot-camp workouts are agreeable with you and your fitness goals, many gyms and trainers offer a one week trial for free.  This way, you can see how it fits with your lifestyle, goals and schedule.</p>
<p>Ideally, after about six weeks of sessions that meet two times a week, you should be feeling stronger and more fit.  In a good boot-camp workout series, your instructor will find workout variations to &#8220;raise the bar&#8221; a little more and still let you use your muscles and still feel a little burn to further your strength even more.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s especially imperative as adults age to maintain flexibility.  Normal activities of daily living such as bending down to tie your shoes or reaching for items on high shelves involve a reasonable preservation of flexibility.</p>
<p>When flexibility is severely limited, even simple tasks like dressing yourself become either challenging or no longer possible.  Another very good incentive to maintain or improve flexibility is to decrease the possibility of injuries.</p>
<p>Muscles that are too tight are often a source of pain upon movement that will frustrate anyone trying to exercise to win the battle of the bulge.  When planning out your exercise routine, flexibility should be a part of your goal, but not your only focal point.</p>
<p>Achieving flexibility doesn&#8217;t mean that you should aim for being able to do contortionist activities.  As with anything, increasing flexibility should not go to that extreme.  If you try to take it to that extreme, you could risk injury by stretching your muscles too far.</p>
<p>What you should be doing is incorporating some stretching exercises into your workout routine.  You can do some stretching before and after your other workout activities.  Another good way to incorporate stretching into your activities is to do <strong><a href="http://www.fitnessnewsmagazine.com/yoga-dvd-reviews/">pilates or yoga</a> </strong>along with your other physical activities of choice.</p>
<p>Working some stretching into your physical activities will help you to avoid injuries.  For runners and joggers, stretching your muscles will help to minimize the effect of pounding on your joints.</p>
<p>Golfers may notice an improvement in their swing when the muscles of their shoulders are not as tight and become looser and more flexible.</p>
<p>Probably the most important part of your body to benefit from improved flexibility is your back.  Your back is more prone to injury, spasms and pain when your muscles are tight.  Patience is required for the improvement of flexibility.</p>
<p>Often, it can take a person months to master a new yoga pose.  Flexibility goals will be different for every individual.  It will depend on your limitations of range of motion and general level of fitness when you start working on your flexibility.</p>
<p>Increasing and maintaining flexibility should be done in conjunction with physical exercise that builds strength.  Ideally, you&#8217;ll want to strike a balance of these two fitness goals to remain healthy and functional.</p>

      count="true" href="http://www.fitnessnewsmagazine.com/yoga-and-running-excellent-combo/" size="standard"></g:plusone></div><p>One of the best ways to make sure you keep a lean, sleek physique that&#8217;s not bulky or overly manly and &#8220;muscular&#8221; if you are a woman, is to combine a lot of stretching types of exercises with any weight lifting and cardio that you do.</p>
<p>Cardio is a must if you are going to get that lean look, since it is still the most effective way to get the heart rate up and strip fat from the body quickly and efficiently.  I have found that one of the best combinations for me personally to get lean and sleek looking (and I&#8217;m only 5&#8242; 4&#8243;, so it&#8217;s tough for me to look this way), is to combine running and yoga.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, I run mostly when it&#8217;s nice outside, and since I live in Northeastern Ohio where the days can be extremely rare that you can get outside in the months of winter.  So then, I just have to resort to either an <strong><a href="http://www.fitnessnewsmagazine.com/elliptical-machine-reviews/">elliptical trainer</a> </strong>or a <strong><a href="http://www.fitnessnewsmagazine.com/horizon-treadmill-reviews/">treadmill</a></strong> and just run inside.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s just a lot tougher to keep your focus when you can&#8217;t be running outside past pretty green scenery, landscapes and other visually appealing and entertaining sights. Not to mention, you don&#8217;t get that same fresh air and the same runner elation that typically comes, for me anyway, more when I&#8217;m running outdoors.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve found that combining running and yoga practice really makes me keep my weight at a nice level as well. The running provides me with pure cardio, a great heart pumping practice, and also great for trimming down my legs as well as my arms since I pump my arms quite a bit when I run.</p>
<p>The yoga takes those same muscles that I work so hard when running, and it stretches them back out. It keeps me flexible, and it also elongates my muscles, which helps me to keep that longer, leaner look, and helps to &#8220;stretch&#8221; my naturally shorter body out a little more, making me walk and appear taller.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also great for flexibility, as well as mood. Studies have shown that women who practice yoga regularly experience much less depression, and tend to have healthier attitudes toward their life and toward stressful situations.  A good <strong><a href="http://www.fitnessnewsmagazine.com/yoga-dvd-reviews/">yoga DVD</a> </strong>is worth its weight in gold, and if you combine this with running as your cardio practice, then you can get a sleek, mean, lean look that you are going for.</p>

We were so young at the time, that the trampoline seemed absolutely huge to me, but I&#8217;m sure looking back that it was just the same as the big ones people have so often in their backyards.</p>
<p>Back then, you really couldn&#8217;t buy them for your backyard easily like you can now. You couldn&#8217;t just run to your nearest Dick&#8217;s Sporting Goods store and charge it &#8211; it was more like a special order thing. </p>
<p>And believe me, back then, I wasn&#8217;t concerned about all the crazy amounts of cardio exercise I was getting while I was jumping and bouncing up and down and laughing my head off &#8211; I was having so much unadulterated FUN that I was laughing my head off the whole time.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s kind of how it is for me today too. Something about jumping on a trampoline brings back those nostalgic days of childlike bliss, the kind you rarely feel as an adult, where you get almost euphoric with pleasure and silliness.</p>
<p>Trampolines now though, offer me a great deal more than just fun. If I were to put one in my back yard, it would also be a really great workout, that happened to also be a ton of pure fun.  Trampolines offer you the kind of cardio you can&#8217;t get anywhere else, because you are using your legs like springs, and it takes a great deal of energy to land and bounce back up, and yet you don&#8217;t really notice how hard you are working and how much your heart rate is up because you are also enjoying yourself.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s almost like an amusement park ride, and for that reason, you don&#8217;t mind that you are also getting a very adult workout.  One thing that you really need to keep in mind on trampolines for the home are the weight capacity if you are an adult. You really shouldn&#8217;t have two full grown adults on it, say a man and woman, that are going to exceed the recommended weight.</p>
<p>This could very well dampen your plans to work it out with your hubby on the trampoline.  Also, keep in mind that if you have any knee or back or neck injuries, to really protect these parts of your body. </p>
<p>You are still doing high impact aerobic activity, and the fact that you are on a springy surface may not help if you are landing with great force and keeping your body too rigid to allow some give.  So just keep your body lose and make sure you&#8217;re not too rigid and you should be ok.</p>

      count="true" href="http://www.fitnessnewsmagazine.com/yoga-makes-you-look-younger/" size="standard"></g:plusone></div><p>Yoga is an exercise that is wonderful for many reasons, not the least of which is its incredible versatility and ability to take even the most inexperienced person and make them into a graceful yogi in weeks.  It has so many levels of difficulty that anyone from your child to your grandma can do it.</p>
<p>Yoga has a lot of proven health benefits. Most notably, it helps to open the passageways for breathing, and helps to calm nerves and balance the hormones, so it is mostly well known as a stress buster and anti anxiety exercise.</p>
<p>But it also conditions the muscles and keeps them flexible, which is of vital importance as we age and naturally become more rigid. I remember when I was twelve years old, I could do backbends without even thinking about it, and I could do cartwheels and flips without batting an eye.</p>
<p>Now though, I might put myself into a wheelchair if I tried that! I&#8217;m only in my mid thirties now, but it&#8217;s much easier to whack my body and spine out of alignment than it once was. Yoga practice keeps you limber and young.</p>
<p>It also reportedly makes women feel and look a lot younger, and that is one of the reasons that so many women get hooked on it. One of the reasons it probably helps fight aging so well is because of its anti anxiety powers.</p>
<p>Anxiety and stress really wear on your face and accelerate aging more than most of us are willing to admit or accept.  Yoga also undoubtedly has a huge postive influence over our circulation. The better our blood circulates, the better our skin looks, the more color we have, and the more beautiful we look.</p>
<p>Another reason why I think so many women feel yoga makes them look younger and more beautiful is because the graceful moves you do in yoga just make you FEEL beautiful. They make you feel like a graceful dancer. When you feel beautiful, you naturally look younger and more radiant.</p>

People are busy, and their busy lives are swallowing up precious time that could be used to get a really good workout in.</p>
<p>For this reason, there are now some very short, but very effective and very intensive workouts that swear they get the job done, but just in much less time. They are efficient, because you are getting terrific cardiovascular conditioning in without taking up hours of time per week.</p>
<p>A newer one has come out now for men, who typically take longer for physical training because they like to focus on building a lot of muscle. And men have to do very specific orders on muscular exercises, and particular reps as well as combinations of body parts and cardio vs. muscle in order to get the right outcome.</p>
<p>For example, men work out body parts at a time, whereas women can work out their whole body every time they exercise, and they still enjoy great results. For men, they really respond better to segmenting their workouts to various body parts, divided up by days.</p>
<p>The three day workout works on this theory, and divides up the muscle workouts between the various target body parts into days. Each of the three days, a man can work out specific body parts, however he wants to, and then do his thirty minuts of cardio.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s another thing that men should do, they should actually do their cardio after their weight workout because they tend to burn calories more efficiently this way, and they also tend to build muscle in a more efficient way when they order their cardio and weight work this way. </p>
<p>The three day workout entails about an hour and a half for each workout, with a half hour of cardio at the end of each weight regimen. </p>
<p>There should ben a day of rest between each of these three days ideally, and the three days can go in any order that is most convenient for the individual, so this regiment definitely can work for any guy, busy or not.</p>
