If you are looking for the perfect workout with little hassle and no stress, Proform might be the right treadmill for you. Proforms are one of the best sellers in the treadmill market, and are known for their sleek looks and smooth workings.

Proforms are known for offering a quality product at a cheaper price, and therefore are the perfect addition to many home exercise equipment collections as an alternative to running outside and having problems with joint stress, uneven grounding, and generally putting too much stress on the body.

Proform 750

The belt of the Proform 750 is of a good enough length and width to allow for some serious stride for runners or power walkers. The weight capacity of 300 pounds is also a great advantage, with lots of additional features like speeds of up to 10 miles per hour and a gradient of up to 10 percent.

The padded deck allows more comfort while walking or running, making it easier to work out longer and harder, even with delicate knees.

Watch your progress around a simulated quarter mile track on the display in front of you, and use the current speed and the time required to cover a mile at that speed to plan your workout and rate yourself.

Indicators will keep a running count of how far you have come so far, and hand grips will give you the readings you want for your heart rate as you work out.

If you are serious about your workout, check out the ten pre-programmed courses, which cover novice runs and strenuous workouts alike. When you are done, lift the deck to make the Proform 750 storable in much smaller spaces.

Just keep in mind please that you get what you pay for, and a Proform 750 is inexpensive and just as likely to break or wear out with regular use as any of the other Proform models.

Proform 950i

As the 90 day warranty might suggest to you, this machine is not good for the long term if you are a serious runner. If you are looking for a cheap model for the occasional workout, however, then the Proform 950i might be an acceptable compromise for you between price and quality.

The Proform 950i comes with many of the same features as the 750, including a wide enough belt for the majority of interested walkers and runners as well as a nicely padded deck to protect your joints from the impact of the workout.

This model goes a little faster, working all the way up to 12 miles per hour with the same 10 percent grade as the Proform 750. Keep in mind that maxing out the settings maxes out the chance of the model breaking under the stress.

The Proform 950i is compatible with iFIT.com technology, which will provide you with coaching and fitness personalization. If you don’t want to mess with the technical stuff, though, the Proform 950i comes ready to work with 10 preset workouts for you.

Monitor yourself with the same easy to grip hand holds that help you to track your heart rate, and monitor it along with estimated caloric expenditure, speed, pace, distance covered, and the incline of the workout.

You can also work out a little longer with the cooling fan that helps keep you nice and comfortable during a trying run.

All in all, the Proform treadmills are easily affordable but often not worth the effort. Customer service is considered a high priority, but it does not show in the quality of service received. If you are a serious runner, save up for a more serious treadmill like a Horizon, that will last.
