It seems like the two biggest problem areas on women as most women can attest to are the outer thighs and the belly area. These are the most common complaints I hear personally.  The third is probably flabby and fatter upper arms (this has long been a complaint of my own, as well as my outer thighs which always seem to have a mind of their own even when I’m at my thinnest).

So why are outer thighs such a problem for us?  Well, studies have shown that this is one of the key places a woman’s body wants to store fat.  It has something to do with us being child bearing creatures, but I don’t recall exactly why the outer thighs use of fat would come in handy for women with children. Wouldn’t it slow them down if nothing else?

On a positive note, studies have also shown that women who carry extra fat in this area of their body tend to also exhibit more intelligence. Yay! I must be a VERY intelligent woman :)   All kidding aside though, the reason cited in this study was that this is also where your body tends to store a lot of the omega 3 fatty acids that you get in your diet.

These fatty acids have been linked to the functionality of the brain, which may explain the link between higher intelligence and cognitive function and more thigh fat.

Outer thighs are a struggle for women because this fat is very hard to get rid of without a serious change in diet. You really can’t zap it with exercise alone. You have to have a a diet that is also conducive to reducing the fatty tissue in this area as well.

Ideally the diet needs to be somewhat low in fat, although you should always consume an abundance of omega 3 fats. It should also contain a great deal of naturally fibrous foods such as broccoli, kale, spinach, sweet potatoes and the like. This is because natural, whole fiber in foods helps flush our bodies of the bad fats and sugars that we take in.

These unhealthy fats and sugars as well as excess carbs all get deposited as extra fat in our saddle bag area, giving us that infamous look that every woman loathes of having a travel bag on each side of our thighs. Not fun.

You can perform many exercises for the outer thighs as well that will help tone the underlying muscle and pull in the appearance of the thighs, but the diet is very important if you want to target reduce this area of your body.

HGH is an acronym for Human Growth Hormone which is also known as somatotropin. Somatotropin is produced in the pituitary gland that is located inside the brain. Compared with other hormones manufactured in the human body, somatotropin is produced in great abundance during the formative years of growth.

It is important because it effects cell growth in bones, organs and muscles throughout the body. When boys and girls go through growth spurts during their adolescent years, the pituitary gland is at its highest point of somatotropin production. It is important that each child have just the right amount of this hormone produced for proper growth.

Too much somatotropin will produce over growth or gigantism and too little will result in under growth or dwarfism. After reaching growth maturity, the amount of this hormone produced daily decreases naturally.

If you’re wondering if we receive compensation from this product, yes we do if you happen to order it through us, and we appreciate your business. Many researchers agree that a lot of the signs of aging, such as graying hair, skin wrinkles and poor posture are credited to this decreased hormone production.

In order to prevent the signs of aging too early, some scientists have done studies on using an injectable human growth hormone to slow down this process. These researchers claim that although many of the other endocrine hormones produced in the body also decline with age, it is the loss of somatropin that causes the most damage.

They believe that HGH is responsible for far greater benefits in keeping the appearance of youth than these other hormones, such as estrogen, testosterone, and DHEA. The studies they have done indicate that HGH also affects weight loss, helps with maintaining memory function, increases sex drive and overall energy and also helps build muscle mass.

These declarations make a strong argument for the promotion of using injectable HGH products.Even though the normal pituitary never totally stops producing somatropin, after the age of 30 the levels increasingly lower with each passing year.

On top of this naturally decrease, there are other factors that adults experience that add to a loss of HGH production. Some diseases are known for affecting somatotropin manufacturing as well as surgical operations or radiation treatment used to thwart the growth of cancers and such.

When this production is slowed greatly, adults can experience weight gain, cholesterol fluctuations, heart disease, extreme tiredness and loss of bone density that leads to osteoporosis. There are conflicting opinions on the topic of going against the natural aging process and using a form of injectable growth hormone.

On the positive side, being those who believe it to be a good thing to supplement the body with HGH, several factors are cited. Some of these are: increased energy levels, greater muscle mass, greater weight management, control in the progress of some diseases such as AIDS, and better bone density.

Those with an opposite viewpoint say that with increased HGH levels in adults there is also an increase in breast cancer for women and prostate cancer for men. Some studies show that those treated with growth hormones actually die at a younger age than their contemporaries who were not treated and maintained lower levels of HGH.

There are natural HGH supplements on the market which supposedly circumvent these nasty side effects and offer a safer, more natural alternative for you to encourage your body to make more of its own natural “youth hormones”.

Studies done on mice show that there is increased brain aging for those subjects injected with the growth hormone.  For those of the population who are considering the use of supplementing a growth hormone to fight the aging process, the cost of starting on one of these programs is very expensive.

There are clinics and “youth spas” that claim they can turn back the hands of time with their prescriptive growth hormones. They call their programs “anti-aging” or age management medicine and can cost as much as $1,000 per month for injections.

They also offer HGH supplements taken like vitamins and even sprays that are used nasally. These options can run a patient up to $300 per month. It is the opinion of many researchers that these pill and spray programs are nothing short of a con as growth hormones cannot be absorbed taken by mouth in pill form or absorbed into tissues by nasal sprays.

The real question remains about the authenticity of positive anti-aging results with the use of human growth hormone injections. If you ask several medical authorities, you are likely to receive several different opinions. Most traditional doctors will answer this question with a firm “no”.

The final authority on all drugs used in the United States is the Federal Drug Administration which takes a cautious stand on the use of growth hormones. Their official view is that they should only be used in the treatment of illness and disease. These include growth hormone deficiencies in youth and some wasting syndromes seen in certain diseases.

There is a definite medical procedure that doctors perform to diagnose a true hormone growth deficiency. The results of these valid findings are what the FDA uses to approve the use of HGH.

For those who wish to pursue the other type of prescriptions that target halting the aging process, there are laws that prohibit the use or distribution of HGH for the purpose of treatments other than disease control or for a recognized medical condition.

These illegal offenses carry a five year prison sentence and/or fines up to $500,000. The FDA urges people who are concerned with the signs of aging too quickly or chronic fatigue to see an accredited endocrinologist to be evaluated.

As we age, there are of course a variety of undesirable things that happen not only to our physical appearance, but also to our mental facilities. As with most everything else age-related though, there are many ways you can help slow the inevitable process of aging, and even to help reverse some of the not so grand signs of aging.

One of the things that men and women alike complain about as they get older is that their muscle mass seems much more difficult to maintain. At the same time, fatty tissue builds more easily on the body as our levels of HGH, or Human Growth Hormone start to wane.  The one-two combination of higher levels of fatty tissue and less muscle mass really does a number on our bodies – and our ego.

But what about the likes of people who never seem to age and seem to retain muscle mass and be able to successfully keep a lot of fat from forming on the body? Well, they likely not only eat the right diet, but also take part in the right combinations of exercise that will help them to maintain that muscular, lean look.

There are also supplements that can help you build lean muscle as well as help keep fat storage to a minimum.  One of them is Nitric oxide, which a lot of body builders use to help them get that pumped muscle look that they typically have, and to help minimize body fat storage.

Combining supplements, a high protein low fat diet and very little carbs will also give you the lean, mean look as well. Just performing high impact short burst exercises makes your body go into overdrive when it comes to natural HGH production, so simply getting those high intensity, shorter workouts in a couple times a week will help your body get that look you desire.

Also getting the proper amount of sleep with help with maintaining muscle mass while decreasing body fat since one of the main times your body repairs itself and its muscle tissues and pumps out human growth hormone is in the deeper stages of REM sleep.

I have to admit, when I first saw the name of this curious jar of workout improvement, I thought “ew”, that’s kind of a gross name for a product. But I was even more curious about the actual use of the Sweet Sweat product and why some people who were training for big events or trying to cut weight fast were so gaga over this particular product.

I saw a lot of comments from fitness enthusiasts that they don’t ever work out without it, and that some trainers and people who play sports for a living swear by it.  So, what is Sweet Sweat exactly and could it fit into your fitness plan for weight loss and other goals?  Here’s a product review and overview.

Well, it is a tingly body emulsion that you apply topically to your skin. You are supposed to feel the tingle. I think the idea is, much like some tanning products on the market that provide that tingly feeling when applied to the skin, to increase your circulation and also to superficially increase your body temperature in that one area where the product is applied to produce a sort of thermogenic effect and kick your body in to a higher calorie and fat burning gear.

Some people totally swear that Sweet Sweat really invigorates their workout and gives them better weight and fat cutting results. Apparently you don’t need a whole lot of the product applied to get it it work correctly, so it may also be economical.

I personally like to use my infrared sauna to get my sweat on, and I think I’m a pretty good sweater to begin with during my workouts, so I don’t really think I need and therefore have never tried it, but for people who have a hard time working up a sweat and getting into that increased state of internal heat that helps you burn fat and calories, Sweet Sweat may be a pretty sweet deal for you!

When it comes to the fat on your body, there are actually two types that can cause huge differences in the way you burn fat and maintain weight. Numerous studies have corroborated that brown fat cells actually burn more calories than white fat cells, making them the more desirable of the two types of fat to have.

A recent study actually showed that mice who have higher concentrations of brown fat over white fat cells burned more calories and maintained a trimmer physique than the mice that had more white fat cells.

Brown fat is found a lot in newborns, and is found a lot more in thinner people, leading researchers to find that this type of fat is much more beneficial than “white fat” is on the human body.

So what accounts for the brown color of brown fat? Well, it contains many more cells, and it actually contains iron stores, which makes it appear the brownish color versus the white color.

It is thought that due to the higher energy need of brown fat, it helps the body to burn more fat by having a higher thermogenic property than white fat. This means it generates more heat and burns a lot more calories and therefore a lot more “bad fat”.

Brown fat actually “takes” energy from white fat cells, and is therefore an excellent mode of burning extra fat and thinning down the body, as well as sculpting the body and helping to reduce things like big thighs, jiggly arms, and reduce cellulite on the body.

In short, there are sure to be more studies on white vs. brown fat, and I’m sure we’ll see more ways to take advantage of this for our weight loss goals. For now, there are really no published ways that we can figure out how to increase our good body fat while decreasing bad body fat.

As if you needed yet another reason to work that body out as often as you possibly can, there is another huge incentive to get your exercising on a daily basis, or at least exercising as much as your lifestyle will let you fit in.

Exercising, it has been found, on a regular basis, actually lowers our cravings for the two types of foods that are most responsible for obesity and weight gain in this country. Sugar and fat.

Sugar and fat, especially when paired together, say in a triple chocolate fudge mousse cake or something similar, are two of the biggest reasons behind weight gain, and they will make you fat faster than you can say the word “chocolate chip cookie”.

One of the best ways that you can keep those inevitable cravings for sugar and especially for fats at bay is to exercise. Research has shown time and time again that those who have fitness schedules that they stick to actually crave healthier, lower fat and lower sugar foods more than those who are sedentary (lead inactive lifestyles).

The reason for this is thought to be the action of fatty and sugary foods on our brain, which is similar to the effects that many different types of exercise has on the brain. The brain releases a feel good chemical called serotonin, which is a rush of chemicals throughout the body which make us feel happy and content, when we eat sugary or fatty foods.

But the effects of the food on our brain is short lived.  So we end up going back to those foods over and over again when we don’t have a substitute for them (exercise) which has a very similar effect on producing and stimulating the release of these feel good chemicals.

When we exercise, we essentially replace much of the need for sugar and fat in our diets, because we are getting that much humanly craved “high” off of working out, and we are getting it on a much more sustainable wavelength, instead of the fleeting feel good chemicals that come with eating naughty foods.

So, if you wanna stay thin and you want to reduce your cravings for naughty, sugary foods, carbs and fats, then you must stick to a regular workout regimen that keeps those feel good chemicals up high as can be.  It’s also obviously excellent for depression and stabilizing moods for the same reasons outlined above.

Aging really sucks in general. At least when it comes to how aging affects your body, your facial appearance, and the many other fun health things that go with aging. But aging doesn’t have to be all together terrible when it comes to how you physically feel and look.

There are a ton of things you can do to maintain the way you look. Mainly, you can do this by exercising and eating well. But sometimes even doing that doesn’t prevent certain things from happening. Things like “turkey neck” and our necks getting saggier and looser are some of the ones that happen to even the best of us.

I started to notice that I was getting a bit of a “double chin” about a year ago. I had this extra little paunch of fat right below my chin. Not quite on my neck actually, but enough to eventually become a full fledged waddle. So I was determined to find natural ways to exercise the surrounding muscles and get that developing waddle to come back up and be firm and nice and defined, like my chin and neck were when I was young.

So I found a little device that was actually a neck exerciser. I bought it at Bed Bath and Beyond for just about twenty bucks.  It is just a simple cheap little plastic device that you rest on your chest, and put your chin in. You then do almost like a “sit up” with your chin, off of your chest. You can feel your neck muscles tensing as you do it.

You are only supposed to do this facial excercise for a few minutes a day at most. I find one minute to be sufficient, and in fact I actually get a little sore if I go more than that. The exercises are more intense than they appear, and you are exercising muscles that rarely get worked, so you may feel a little soreness in places that you’re not used to feeling that way.

These types of exercises for waddles, turkey necks, double chins and neck fat can be very effective, but they take time to work, and you must be diligent and consistent with doing them.  The underlying muscles need to literally pull the fat and skin back to where they belong. Of course weight loss can help in extreme situations, but many times it’s just age that makes us sag in these areas.  Damn Father Time!

I wanted to keep you posted on the series of body wraps I purchased a few weeks ago. These are herbal therapy body wraps, and I bought a package of ten, priced very reasonably, in a local place that is near where I live here in Northeastern Ohio called Herbal Therapy Body Wraps.

I will admit I was a bit dubious when I first started, but I had high hopes that I might see an improvement (inch reduction) in my thighs – particularly in the saddle bag area that I have always struggled with.  Any other improvements I got, as far as I was concerned, were just icing on the cake.

I also wanted to see a marked improvement in my cellulite problem areas, which are on my buttocks and thighs, like most women experience.  I have now begun to see a bit of inch reduction as well as a nice little reduction in my cellulite’s appearance after wrap number 5.

I’ve been going and getting one body wrap per week to get the results a bit faster, and hopefully to get the best results I can get since I’m not taking too long between wraps. I also follow the directions of drinking tons of fresh water all of the time, which I think has boosted my results.

I notice that my cellulite is not as pronounced. I also have experienced a curious increase in my energy levels for a day or two after I have the body wrap. I wasn’t really expecting that, but I’ll certainly never complain about having extra energy!  It acts as a great energy booster for me personally. Not sure if that is typical of all users, but it sure is for me.

Body wraps help to reduce cellulite and help to reduce inches in targeted problem areas by the principle of compression, as well as using herbs and other ingredients to help your body flush out toxins and reduce fat deposits.

I’m not exactly sure how it works, or if there is even an exact science behind it to be honest, but it’s working. It’s not a miracle by a long shot, but it’s a visible difference and I’ve seen some size reduction without doing much else, and that’s all I’m asking for.
